What's it like to work with me?
Words from colleagues, clients and collaborators.
Mirela was part of my core team during the launch and successful rollout of VIPnet. It was a time when we were building something entirely new in a very intense environment, with many parallel projects and situations that demanded fast decisions, with no room to wait for ideal conditions.Mirela was a team member I could rely on with confidence, because she carried out her tasks with quality, intelligence and responsibility. What I especially value is her ability to stay calm, pragmatic and focused on what matters in demanding situations, as well as her readiness to do whatever it takes to achieve the goals of the team and the organisation. If I were assembling a team for a similar project again, Mirela would be among the first people I would call.
I had the opportunity to work with Mirela in retail, an industry that was completely new to her at the time. It was a genuine pleasure watching how quickly she mastered the basics and got to grips with the specifics of retail.Working with Mirela showed me what top-tier project leadership looks like: taking ownership, staying focused on results, and being able to rally people around a shared goal.Yet above all, one quality stands out. Mirela is the most passionate and most skilled customer experience (CX) professional I have ever had the privilege of working with. Her focus on the customer and her expertise are truly inspiring.
Some people you meet in a professional context, and they remain an important part of your life. For me, Mirela is exactly that kind of person. The time when Mirela was my manager in the Complaints Management and Customer Experience department was one of the happiest periods of my corporate career. Why? Her knowledge and professionalism were of course beyond question, but the way she approached people and saw potential in everyone was wonderful and exceptionally rare. She listened carefully, asked the right questions and was open to every idea that made sense. Most importantly, I always felt she stood behind her people, and she proved that countless times. Conversations with Mirela always gave me a new perspective and the belief that, as individuals and as a team, we could do more.Today she is a successful consultant, brilliant at what she does, because she built her success by combining love, experience and knowledge. Her care for people creates change that leaves a mark, both in organisations and in individual lives.I wish her, from the bottom of my heart, to keep inspiring people, building excellent customer experiences and changing the world the way only she knows how – with knowledge, charisma, empathy and a big heart.
I have known Mirela since our corporate days and have followed her since she started her own business. What has stayed constant with her is a combination that is rarely found together: the warmth with which she approaches people and the seriousness with which she approaches work. This was best confirmed by Mirela's recent training, which we attended and came away from with concepts we can apply immediately in real situations.Mirela comes from the world of large corporations, and it shows in how well she understands the way organisations actually function, and where and why activities and processes get stuck. But unlike many others, she didn't carry that corporate baggage with her. She works simply, clearly and without pretence, which is much harder than it sounds. To anyone looking for someone to help them achieve real change, not just a nice presentation, I recommend Mirela without hesitation.
I first encountered Design Thinking thanks to Mirela. I didn't know what to expect, but early in the session I realised this was going to be something completely different and valuable.Mirela conveys knowledge in an innovative, clear and simple way, and her approach encourages participants to think outside the usual frameworks and step out of their comfort zone.Today, when it seems everyone has access to the same information, knowledge and tools, creativity is exactly what can set us apart. I believe people who know how to think differently, connect seemingly unrelated things and find solutions where others don't will increasingly stand out. That is why this experience was especially valuable to me.Mirela encourages us not to jump straight to the "right" answer, but to explore, ask questions and look at the problem from different angles. What helped me most was learning to approach challenges more openly. Instead of settling for the first solution that comes to mind, I now give myself more room to explore, ask questions and look for new possibilities.I think everyone should take Mirela's training, and repeat it from time to time.
I met Mirela in 2017 at A1 Croatia, where we worked together on projects related to employee experience and digital transformation. As part of the internal trainer programme I launched at the time, Mirela's trainings became some of the most sought-after, with every new session filling up in record time.Even then she stood out for her ability to make complex methodologies understandable, practical and applicable, and for using excellent facilitation to involve different groups of employees in creating user-centred solutions. After our corporate careers, we both moved into entrepreneurship and our collaboration continued. What connects us is the belief that customer and employee experience should never be left to chance, but consciously and deliberately designed. That belief led to our joint project, the Employee Experience Design Masterclass.Mirela is a skilled, creative and highly reliable collaborator, but above all a wonderful, warm and generous person. Today I consider her not just a business partner but a friend. With her, every project is an opportunity to learn and to create something valuable – always with plenty of laughter and fun.
